What are your long term salary goals?
If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.
Anyone leave after a year? Any advice?

Don’t listen to PwC 2. The longer you stay in tax, the harder it will be to transition out of it. I️ lived it.
If you don't want to stay in tax, leave
Will you make Senior this year? I think it would be wise to earn that title first.
No. It usually takes 3 years to make Senior, so I guess I'm half way there. Is there any benefits to stay until Senior knowing that advancement in tax won't be my end goal?
People restart careers all the time. If you are not going to be working in a field where earning the title of senior does not matter then leave ASAP and find happiness
Is your resume geared to analysis?
Stay until you’re senior. Then you can move to a role you’ll enjoy.
RSM 1: Cool deal. Maybe the Kool-aid is running dry for me. Thanks for the input.
Agreed with above. The longer you stay in tax, the harder it will be to transition out.
EY1 so what do you list on your resume for FP&A? I'm in financial reporting, I can not accept starting FP&A salary (too low) but for senior I simply do not have experience.
EY 1: not really. Analysis would be a total different beast if I jump there. Is it feasible and common to restart your career field?
Senior title means employers see you as having experience in running a team / managing people. This is a universally applicable skill that helps you not land in another entry level position. So staying to Senior can pay dividends regardless of staying in tax or leaving. That said, if you hate your life, bail now. Life is short.
It’s a double edge sword. I think it’s fine staying til senior. I am on Tax and I want to move to FP&A. Otherwise staying further tax will risk any move outside tax. My resume is geared to analysis and if you have not put a few lines you will have a hard time.
EY 1: how is your resume geared to analysis? Did you have prior work experiences in the related field? I don't have have experience in analysis, so how hard would it be for me to get a crack at it?
