At 1.5 years I imagine your close to a promo? If not jump firms, that’s very low for COL

helpful

Yeah I asked around and promo raise is <10%. Also apparently I won’t get promo this cycle likely and will get it next cycle (+1 year)

Promo raise <10%? Yeah I’d leave ASAP. Our non-promo raises were around 10%, promo raises >20% for most people.

Hi Ladies, would love your advice here. My boss recently approached me a week ago about moving into a new role, larger in scope w/ global visibility, managing more people and in other countries, manage a manager, AND fill the gap in other problem areas. He's told me that I am the only person that he trusts to do the job and they have created this new role for me to help us get IPO ready. The only catch: no pay increase, no title change. What do I do?

Just wondering - Do coaches have to pay from their pockets for promoting their coachee? My coach sounds soo negative irrespective of my Manager supporting the promotion decision. Despite my milestone year , good scatterplot and utilisation my coach is still saying at 3.5 years it's difficult to get promotion from analyst to Consultant. I fail to understand the logic behind it where Deloitte is recruiting folks with 3+ YOE as consultant.

Looking for advice I left big 4 soon after getting a promotion SM. But i got my promotion after a long time (3 years) . I was told i was a star performer but i felt i was taken for a ride. I joined industry as a manager but a good salary jump. A few weeks in the job, i feel i may made a mistake. The title is manager and i feel i should have stuck to consulting. Any suggestions on how i should think for my next steps? Should i continue in industry and try for a promotion here or move back asap?

I joined EY GDS on august 2nd 2021 as advanced analyst for US taxation. I don’t have enough hours but I have over all 3 years of experience (2.7 Deloitte and Ey - August 2021 till now) in US tax and very good feedback untill now. Is there a possibility to get senior promotion this year? If over all hours is the only main criteria then I would not get this year?

EY GDS appraisal system is the worst in the world Let's take mine as example Last year I got progression with exceptional contribution rating This year my performance was as even better than last year with several partner level appreciation and value adds done. But this time I got valued contribution ( no promotion or progression) Reason - last year I got progression and exceptional. Hence they can't give anything this year. I was like wtf dude. Are you serious?

Finally decided to leave Accenture, but im staying in the Workday world. I got offers from KPMG, PWC, and Capgemini this week. Can anyone give some honest opinions and/or experiences with each of them? Anything to add regarding their overall brand appeal, practice size/structure, potential for growth, etc. I know Accenture and Deloitte are “the best” but I’m just trying to get paid and these other 3 all offered me what is essentially a 30% raise. 🤑
