The common recommendation is 15% of salary. Obviously some can’t do that because of student loans, etc.

1) $1,625 - 401k, $300 - HSA, $500 - Roth IRA (via backdoor Roth), $250 - brokerage (will increase to $2,000 month in September when I fully pay off my student loans) 2) $141k base, TC - $155k 3) 31

This is just me. SO is going the same and our combined HHI is ~$500k

1. About $4k/month (max HSA, 401(k) and two IRA’s, some leftover goes to brokerage beyond emergency fund) 2. $140k 3. 28/27 married.

1. $1625 - 401k, $1000 IRA, $3000 Brokerage Monthly (Total - $5625) 2. 289k TC 3. 35 / Married

Yes - x2, also have about $2k a month in passive RE income that I didn’t reference above.

1) 1625/ month to 401k to max out 2) 500 to Roth IRA 3) 200 to brokerage firm 100k salary, age 26, not married

1) $730/month to Roth 401k, company matches another $570, $50/month to HSA, so total = $1,350. 2) 68k not including bonus 3) 24, married, no kids, but only included my numbers.

Hey Fb friends - need an advise. My current firm hasn’t stated my GC process yet and with current processing time it appears to be somewhere around 12-15 months time to get PERM approved. In addition my current firm needs leadership approval & they make me sign a reimbursement form in case I quit. On other hand, I have approved i40 from my ex-employer (Big4) who fired me last fall, I don’t know if they will hire me back. Since I am from India and the date of filing appears like going to be…cont.

Currently contributing 18% to savings (8% 401k and 10% to savings account) and also paying $2250/month for grad school. I have a healthy savings balance and am not expecting and need to use it anytime soon. Is is ok to cut back on what I put into my savings account while I’m in school? Feeling stretched thin and have always had the impression it’s bad to not be contributing to savings regularly. Thinking if I’m paying for school it’s ok to be less aggressive with savings. Looking for input.

Beginner and trying to get my finances in order. Income: $200k+. Maxed out 401k for the year. I have $60k in my savings account (just paid student debt off this year). I’ve searched the bowl… Are next steps: (a) invest (maybe $30k?) in ETFs and add to it each month, (b) open a HYS at HMBradley to hopefully get a high interest next quarter? I’m not convinced about the mega back door Roth (whether it makes sense for my situation) so putting in only a small amount there. Any thoughts? TIA!
