Both are there. Good if you work are currently working in a project with poor WLB, old tech stack and want switch immediately. Bad if your current salary is low, most service based companies won't give proper package during interview, you need to have multiple offers to get the package you need But due to 1 month NP, its difficult to have that many offers

Yup, totally agree on that!

It's pretty common, whether it's good or bad.

Mixed bag

I have a 1 month notice period, I prefer it because it makes transitioning easier

I don't think it's a bad thing.

I'm happy in my role/salary, find it rewarding and the right work-life balance. My friends however, are talented and awesome so they've been rising up in their jobs and so, have a higher disposable income. When we go out especially on special occasions like trips/getaways, I'm starting to feel the pinch. They've been understanding and even give notice when it's a special occasion coming up where they want to splurge. If I don't go, it's fine but how do I spend time with them if everything is $$?

Might be an unpopular opinion but I’m not terribly thrilled with the new Halo Top ad. I’m all for body acceptance but part of the reason COVID hit the U.S. so hard is because of co-morbidities like obesity. There has to be a line btw “real” bodies and not celebrating a state that causes so many medical issues - Ie overweight without the medical definition of very obese. Do you think brands have gone too far in the other direction?

My husband and I want to start trying for a baby but I just went from one big 4 to another and just started. I left a company that made me feel burnt out/mentally drained I wanted a fresh start and a better fit and a chance to make boundaries. I’m worried that having a baby now isn’t a good idea and it might impact my work. I don’t want my new company to think I don’t take this job seriously or that I’m not good at my job.
