Ally bank has served me well for many years. Vanguard also has a good money market vmmxx
Do not buy CDs!! Rates are too low short term and long term and in a rising interest rate environment the worst thing you could do is lock yourself into a low rate now
Ally has no penalty for early withdrawal 11 month cds at 2+ percent. Create a ladder and you’ve got lots of flexibility
Using Ally for my larger savings account. Prob convert some of that to Vanguard in the new year.
Vanguard Prime Money Market Fund. Just part of my overall taxable portfolio. It’s like 2.2%. Anything over what I deem to be emergency fund, then goes to a balanced index fund.
