(1) In person, Zoom, and phone.
(2) If they haven't reached out in advance, I give a 15 min grace period, generally. We don't charge for a no-show (unless repeated), but if they try to do the appointment after 15 minutes passes and we couldn't reach them and they didn't try to reach us, we ask them to reschedule
Similar to NEP1’s office. We do zoom/Google meet, in person, and phone consults. Late arrivals are excused, if we still have time to accommodate. If not, they either have to agree to a shorter appointment or a reschedule. No shows are marked as such on the calendar and will be required to prepay a consultation fee in advance if they have previously no showed before.
(1) In person, Zoom, and phone.
(2) No charge for a no show. Lateness I usually allow up to 15 minutes unless they call and advise they’re running late (but that usually means we can adjust the consult time anyway). I did have someone show up 30 minutes late to a consultation and I had been pulled into a meeting on something - so they had to wait for me to finish first. If they had called, I could have advised the partner before being pulled in (I thought they were just a no show).
1) In person or Zoom. I don’t like telephone consults because I can’t see the clients face and I can’t tell when their eyes start to glaze over from confusion or their reaction when I explain yes, they DO have to pay child support.
2) I try to accommodate if the client is late. If they miss an appointment they can reschedule but if they miss two appointments with no good I probably wouldn’t take them as a client. I don’t want to care about it more than they do.
We do in person, zoom or phone. A potential client was referred by a client and set up for zoom. Was sent the link, and when the time came didn’t join. I called and it rang through to voicemail.
Our firm does free consults if there’s a referral from a person (we charge if they just found us on Google). I told our paralegal if potential client tries to reach out and reschedule, she pays 50% of our consultation fee up front, no refunds.
We do free 15 minute phone consult, I do not need to see anyone to know if I can help or not. I also have them call me, if they really need help they’ll remember to call.
1-zoom, phone, webex, etc.
2- wait 15mins then require a reschedule. If a no show, then charge $100 no show fee and refund the remainder of their consult prepayment from my IOLTA/trust acct.
