PUBLICIS is asking this? Open office layouts, then pulling out of award shows, then a bunch of layoffs for a number of years in a row, then Marcel ........ and now the news just announced that Arthur Sadoun wants to buy Epsilon for $5 billion. HAH.
My thoughts exactly
No and no. And this is why most of the industry is dying. If what you sell are people’s talents, you should take care of those people.
Used to be a loyal type, worrying about doing an errand on company time, that kind of thing. Then I thought about how I’m essentially getting a pay cut each year I don’t get even get a cost of living raise and now I don’t give that kind of fuck anymore.
1) I was very loyal until I learned - sooner or later - all agencies are not. At some point they will think you are replaceable. Look out for your own career and personal growth.
2) Sadly, no.
AD 1 - same thing happened to me. So terrible!

Nah
1) my last agency. F no to both. they went through a merger and showed no mercy
2) now - client aide. yes. absolutely. average tenure on my team is 6 years!
Yes.
Yes.
Yes, and Yes
No. No. My agency doesn’t invest in their employees, so why should I do the same for them? I’ve started to learn that I am loyal to myself. I am dedicated to producing great work because I am passionate about the industry and I hold high expectations for the work I put out there, but I can do this for any agency!
No.
And just got laid off so doubly no.
Sorry to hear you’ve been laid off. It seems as if lay offs are rampant right now. Not sure what’s going on. But that’s besides the point. I’m hoping you find something very soon.
No. No.
