The Houston Chronicle is reporting that some Texas firms are offering up to $500k signing bonuses for lateral hires. Has anyone actually received a signing bonus this high? I’m curious to know what recent laterals are receiving, their practice area, market, year level, etc.

Suggested day rate for a senior level strategist in NYC? I’ve only ever hired at a fixed project price vs. day, so not sure what is reasonable. Proposal is a rushed turn around too.
