Worked out lower body. First time in gym after a few days of a cold. Still recovering from cold.

No 10k+ steps these last few days. Only 3-4k these last few days since confined to home. Will do 10k+ today though

Originally planned for today to be a rest day but instead already hit 20k steps today! Y’all inspired me to switch from tracking distance to steps, I can already tell this has helped me get more movement in the day outside of “structured exercise”. At least half of those steps were deep cleaning my home

At what stage or level are live coding exercises not a criteria for getting hired as a Software Engineer?

I've built & worked on huge systems from inception to production, led teams, made big Technical decisions & mentored some. However, I don't particularly look forward to leetcode-style or whiteboard algorithmic challenges - Matter of fact, I don't do well at them. I now reject jobs that require live coding sessions, leaving me with less job options.

I’ve done really well since New Years and wanted to share my story and what has worked for me hoping it may help someone. Buckle in…
I’ve lost 12 lbs and doubled my max lift in nearly every exercise. Needless to say, it’s only been a month and I’m getting comments from everyone that I’m “lookin good”- I’m still a chubster but progress is progress. Given I was at a point where I hadn’t lifted in a few years so my numbers were well below my college days. This is what I’ve done to help me succeed:

Apple Watch owners…⌚️
Im getting into swimming and I’m like OCD about my watch tracking my workout as accurate as possible (even if it’s not the most accurate 🤷🏻‍♀️). I used the open swim for the first time yesterday and one down is 25 yds but one full lap is 50 yds and regardless I don’t think it tracked my swim accurately. Is there a trick? Lol I input 25 yds as a lap but maybe I needed to put 50? Silly little thing but it’ll drive me crazy haha
