Hey! Just looking for some solidarity—I’ve been applying to many, many jobs after graduation and either not getting called in for interviews or not getting second/third round interviews. Anyone else dealing with this? It’s been such a disappointing end to grad school, thinking I’d be able to find a job with no issues (and seeing other people in my program find jobs), and then just… not being able to find anything. Any advice for not feeling disappointed?

Anybody who works or worked in tax preparation, what’s the average hourly for a first year tax professional? Im considering taking the role, I just won’t have access to the hourly until November. Best guess?

I recently interviewed for a great company and they are offer me a base + commission salary of which the base salary is much lower (15k less) than what I was making in previous role and is also below the industry rate. They say the commission will make up for my expectations. Now I am in a bit in bind because this is great company and will give me good exposure for future opportunities but I also want to negotiate the salary. How can I approach this?

I’m not friendly with medication but I think I might have to try something for anxiety.
I have tried to manage mine for years with meditation, exercise, diet, etc. I usually do pretty well.
But under stress, it can take over. And in the past couple of years I’ve woken up in the middle of the night with negative thoughts and it takes me a while to fall back asleep.
I don’t want to have to take anything on a regular basis. Any recommendations on a drug that I could discuss with my doctor?

While he was sick and after his death I took leave for three weeks. After I joined back I was informed about transfer from Mumbai to Gidderbaha branch and was asked to report there. I requested for change in location but in vain, organisation did not even arranged for place to stay for single woman. I resigned now after few months with no job in hand

I'm rejected in the final interview round of VmWare. I had never been rejected in a final round of the interview process before. They asked some networking and C language based questions which I studied 6 years ago in college. I have other offers in hand. But I saw good reviews about this company. Anyone who got rejected in final round of the process, please share your thoughts.

Dear Mass recruiting companies, Now onwards please don't lecture only the employees in terms of ethics, moon lighting. Please look inwards and introspect yourself too.

Just few months back you hired freshers and now offer letter is revoked. This is a cycle, When there is excess demand, candidate do the same and when the demand subsides employers does it to candidate. So there is no point in crying when employees give it back to you!
