11 weeks pregnant and tested positive for Covid . Symptoms are headache and fever. I am trying to keep the fever down by taking Tylenol but the temp remains at 37.7. I have my 12 week ultrasound in few days but I don’t think the clinic will allow since I tested positive. So scared for the baby

Have you told/called your OB yet? I did immediately when I tested positive. They told me to 1) monitor fever with Tylenol, and if a fever developed and didn’t improve with meds after 6 hours, to call them back, 2) if I wanted, Pavloxid was available, 3) when I thought I noticed a change in baby’s movements, they sent me in for an NST, and 4) started me on a baby aspirin daily regimen to reduce risk of clots/pre e.

I did have to reschedule my upcoming appointments because I was not allowed in the office while Covid positive. Which was fine, just a few days wait.

All in, I recovered just fine, and baby has continued to pass every test. If you’re scared, talk to your OB!

TBH call you doctor so they can reschedule your appointment. I would get rest to break the fever. Did you get the vaccine? That can help with the symptoms. Unfortunately, I got Covid around 6mos., it took 2weeks to fully get over it and baby is healthy & doing great.

I have had two vaccines but no booster. I am waiting for my appointment with my OB today .

I had Delta variant at 10 weeks. I was pretty sick. Between Covid and first trimester sickness, I stayed in bed for 4 days straight. Fast forward, I have a very, very healthy baby girl who is 11 weeks old.

Only precaution was go to the ER if I get a fever of 100 f+

Good. I’d follow doctor orders, (s)he knows your pregnancy this far and has dealt with Covid mammas before.

Mom's in this bowl, or anyone, do you feel like the place where you work discourages or penalizes women for getting pregnant or wanting to have children? Reminder to Listen to your intuition, especially when it comes to your health. If you feel something is off with your body, nothing is more important than seeing a doctor. If that dr doesn’t take your concern seriously, see another one or go to ER. It’s better safe than sorry. This can save your life!

Pregnant/ first trimester in big law. Got informed I should be taking point on some aspects of a major trial, set right around my due date. I don’t want to announce I’m pregnant yet, and don’t want to get pulled from matters so early. But I also don’t want partners to resent that I knew I would be gone for this trial and that I didn’t tell the team sooner, so a different attorney could have taken point from the start (rather than me having to catch someone up in a few months). Any advice?

Has anyone been through this? I know of two people around my age that got pregnant naturally with their second baby after IVF. Does anyone know about banking embryos for future use instead of transferring? My insurance doesn’t cover anything so all this of out of pocket.

I had an early miscarriage (week 4.5) after a FET with a PGT embryo (medicated cycle).

My doctor wants to move right away to a test cycle (w/ the objective of doing a biopsy and various tests), to be followed by doing the second FET cycle.

Is this too soon? Should I wait a month for my HCG levels to be normal again and to give my body some rest?

Are women here having issues finding appointments for initial prenatal visit? The first appointment I got will be at 11 weeks that too I was lucky because I had already scheduled with the doc for some other Obgyn issue back in July and they converted it to a prenatal appt. If I did not have that, I would have not got anything for the first trim. The other docs in the clinic also did not have appts. This sounds very risky. Heard from someone in Texas she did not get an appt until 16 weeks

Some context: agency let go about 15% of the company a month ago. I was warned by my dept lead more layoffs could happen if we don’t win new business soon. I’m 35w pregnant.

What scenario (if any) is most likely:
- That I’m let go before my mat leave begins
- I’m let go during mat leave
- I’m let go immediately after returning from mat leave

Seems like potential PR nightmare for them, but I can’t ignore the fact that I was given a heads up that layoffs could happen.
