3. So far the most severely affected population are older and had other medical problems. While the speed at which it’s spreading is somewhat worrisome, if you’re younger and healthy the symptoms tend to be no worse than a common cold. Now that being said, stuff can mutate again quickly so we’ll see how much things can get contained now
7 - If there’s anything I learned from playing Plague Inc, my McKinsey interview, and watching the news unfold exactly as I thought it would, this is looking scary.
2000 might seem like nothing, but remember it becomes exponential. Once Chinese New Year finishes and everyone starts travelling out of Asia ... well it’ll certainly be fun for health officials

I think I’m about a 2, but I have no doubt the Chinese government are underreporting how widespread it is

1000% more concerned in general about me or a loved one contracting the regular flu, which has killed 2,400 people in the US since October

I'm a little concerned. Mostly because I keep reading reports of experts talking about how they're legit concerned, more than they ever were before. It's not time to panic but it's not nothing either.
Hopefully it will all fizzle out but the long incubation period has me a bit worried.

Wow, looks like there are some infirm pensioners on here! Pretty sure healthy young consultants will be fine...
C1 prob some underlying factor or predisposition. Also need to consider air quality in China and high rates of smoking which would affect lung health and ability to clear out mucus = tougher time fighting the infection and more inflammation
Am 22 and Chinese American, so concern is fairly low (1) but parents concern is around 7
I’m concerned for my infant and small children.
1 - Que sera sera, my friend
I’m upgrading my answer to 8.
Number of cases has more than doubled since I posted 2 days ago at like 1900 cases. Now there’s 5500+ damn
Damn I was so wrong on this
