I basically did my first 5k in a very long time on Friday, and my calves are still very sore... To the point it hurts to walk. I am not a regular runner at all, and just do weights at the gym a few times a week. Normal, or did I overdo it? Should I power through or just completely rest up? I went on a long walk today while listening to a podcast and fear even that made it worse.
I’d stretch, use a foam roller and rest. It’s normal to feel this way for few days since you ran after a very long time.
