Dropped daily stepcount target to 5k although I tend to hit 10-14k most days

I’m going to meditation this morning and will take a couple walks to get exercise.

It’s through a community yoga group that offers yoga and meditation at no cost. It’s a very welcoming and inclusive group that has people of many different ages, races, orientations, etc, which I think can be hard to find in the yoga community. I’m hoping to start attending regularly ☺️

Today was pull day, hit my goal weight of 230lbs so I’ll probably maintain this weight through the end of December and start gradually pulling back in January.

Morning run and 15k steps throughout the day. Had a volunteer shift with lots of loading and unloading heavy boxes so I also did some unexpected “lifting” too 😂

Hi y’all, wanted to ask for recommendations on really good workout leggings that aren’t $100 (Lululemon). I currently buy them from Amazon (Heathyoga) but the quality of the leggings I purchased recently wasn’t as good as the ones I got last year.

I was listening to a podcast for one of the courses I’m taking and thought I’d share some cool stuff about building habits:

- Willpower is not as effective in making a long term change compared to building habits

- Reduce friction (eg much more likely to go to gym if it’s 5 mins away vs 10)

- Take an existing habit and add your new habit onto it

- Use chaos and stressful times to rethink practical decisions

- To break bad habits, add friction (eg phone & charger away at night)

I’ve been working on joining the 225 club for a little over a year. 50ish guy weighing 205 here. Got to 215 today doing 1rm, but my trainer didn’t want me to attempt it (215 was definitely a struggle). Will try again next month. Any tips on how to train for a bit of improvement?
