Take naps!! You need rest, your body is doing so much. When I was pregnant with my second, my first had just turned 2. I would take a power nap in the afternoons, put it on the schedule.

Do you take iron pills?

It normally starts to get easier as you get deeper into second tri. I’d just suggest keeping up with your exercise & healthy diet and try to get good sleep. No screens before bed (if you can help it). You can also do like half or a quarter of unisom if you’re having a tough time with pregnancy insomnia or anything.

Honestly, take it easy and wait a couple weeks. That second trimester honeymoon period is around the corner!

Take a nap and quit pushing yourself to work out so much. You’re growing a human.

Make sure you're having enough protein and water. I'd keep a straw ice water Tumblr by me and have nuts, cheese, and multigrain crackers every few hours for an energy boost :) and ask your doctor how much caffeine they're OK with. Mine was fine with unlimited decaf and one caffienated a day. Nap/ sleep in on the weekends!!! 4 is old enough to watch TV in the morning while you rest

Congrats! I agree. Pace yourself. Exercise is good, but also rest and eat healthy. Listen to your body. Do you have someone that could take your four year old out so you can have some quiet time?

I was the same, but the exhaustion thankfully got better after first tri. I found that a protein filled snack every couple hours helped my energy levels (like apples and PB or hummus and crackers). I also needed to go to sleep at least an hour earlier than normal the whole time.

Has anyone tried EMDR to deal with childhood traumatic experiences? I'm not talking about things like physical abuse etc. but due to separation from parents at a young age which was driven by circumstances and decisions parents made. Due to this, I don't feel much connection with my parents. It has impacted my romantic relationships and causes constant anxiety at work because I feel like a helpless child inside, lack confidence and self worth and fear failure. Appreciate any EMDR experiences.

Hi moms - I had posted earlier about nanny not active with toddler ( toddler bottles up and melts down a lot in the evening), let baby cry etc. I had the gut feeling that she is not the right fit for us and many moms here agreed. I am now trying to tell her that she isn’t the fit for us but this is my first time. Can you provide suggestions how to let go a nanny ? I plan to provide her severance for 2 weeks but I am not sure how to tell her - short and sweet

Our nanny takes my 7 month old out for one, sometimes 2, long walks every day (weather permitting). Love the idea of fresh air every day but its often for several hours at a time and he always returns home crying bc she's pushed him to his limit between feedings. She brushes it off saying hes just fussy which kind of irks me. Im also concerned that he's spending too much time strapped in a stroller. Is it reasonable to ask her to take shorter walks? Am I overreacting?

Well I'm a first time mom and feel home bound running the baby cycles. My baby is not a good sleeper so I feel like I am on 24/7. When he is a asleep in doing the usual bottles, dinner etc. I feel like I need more confidence to get myself and baby out of the house with everything in tow but I suppose walking through malls could help. Houston heat doesn't make it ideal to walk around outside during the day. I also do the night cycles solo so I'm pretty much too exhausted to do anything but want to get more scheduled about it so I can plan on an hour here and there when my husband gets home.
