15 minutes after the fire alarm went off at client building and as our team stands outside the building the first thing our SM tells the team- "remember all this is billable time."

Get out of the house, A1. Or laid. Both would be preferable.

Sounds like a cool SM

Y'all bill by minute increments Accenture? 🙄

ACN1 I doubt you are an MD

For my own edification, do y'all bill travel time (flight/car ride to client). Bill over 8 hours a day? Also, do you not bill runs to the bathroom and coffee breaks? I have friends in tax and audit who bill .1. Just want to know where you decide client time begins and ends.

That time is not billable, have some ethics

A1 is awful. I end up rounding down to 45 no matter what anyway though.

like

Of course mandatory participation in a client event is billable...

like

It's billable. Lol

like

As long as there wasn't a real fire I'd bill that.

Acn1 is really a stickler. I bill in half hour increments, but I'm really lenient on the time. If you call with a 5 min question your not getting billed. Also, if I am being tied up because of the client (waiting for conf call to start, asked to stay on site for a late meeting, fire drill) then that is billable time.

like

A1 sounds like the reason EY has so many ex-ACN folks

like

If you aren't actually performing work for the client it is not billable. And we bill in 1/10th of hour increments pwc

Travel time if you work yes, if not know.

Bill actual, but not all passed on to client , depends on contract

*no

I would fire one of my SMs if they said that.

Doubt whatever you wish

Does anyone know of a comprehensive list of agreements? I'm going in house soon and would like to be sure I have a nice representative sample of templates. I've hit all of the normal ones that I see frequently, but wonder if somebody has created a useful list.

I hope those impacted in a direct and personal way (or even in an indirect way) feel empowered to take today or tomorrow or the next few or however many days needed to protect their own well-being & mental health.

Any employer who would deny you of that isn’t an employer worth working for. My heart goes out to you in this tragic and trying time.

Hi all—trying to understand a little bit more here. Someone recently suggested everyone on my team add pronouns to their display name. I argued against making it mandatory since it forces people to either lie or come out. But I’m also wondering from the standpoint of someone who isn’t cis, what’s the right approach here?

Looking to get some advice as I will be getting my masters soon. I currently work in healthcare so I am leaning towards getting an MBA in healthcare management vs an MBA in management. If I was ever to change fields (I.e finance or technology) would companies care that my MBA is in healthcare management or is that usually over looked?
