Hey awesome mamas! What are your plans for when you have to go back to work but your kids are staying home either doing distance-learning or the hybrid model? My three are all in middle school and high school doing the hybrid and are home by themselves Monday -Wednesday. Even though they’re old enough to be home by themselves I still don’t quite trust that they’re on task- especially my 6th grader. Also worried about having to help them with a lot of homework after I get home from work. Ideas?

Oh, me too. I have an 11yo with ADHD and anxiety and a super hard class this year.
I can only imagine, but I’m feeling the same...crawling to the finish line with school. Then trying to catch up on the home front...more exhausting than some people can imagine.
Exhausting is the word. Even other teachers don’t really get it. Thanks for the support.
I am really empathizing with this post right now! I teach special education 3rd-5th grade, and have kids with really intense behavioral challenges. This year, since October, I have been a foster parent to a 9 and 10 year old, and the 10 year old has ADHD, likely had autism (undiagnosed as of yet) and a serious trauma history. She's in a self-contained EBD program, so I am really really never off duty, and it's exhausting!
