Just sit tight and enjoy the down time. I wasn’t staffed my first ~3 weeks and now I haven’t truly been on the bench in years
You’ll be given an assignment soon enough and they won’t even tell you how to run with it
Email your hr resource and ask who is in your office from your group. Grab a coffee with them and see if they know of any projects from your group. Also look for reinvest opportunities and make connections there for project work. What group and officr are you in
Charlotte in the FTO group. Its certainly dicey when you first join the firm because you don't have any contacts. Just keep meeting as many people as possible and offer to do any reinvest work that comes your way. Even though you wont get laid off, you certainly want to get staffed for end of year purposes.
I'm trying but can't help but shake this anxiety of getting laid off lol. I guess I'm too used to industry and being given an assignment and running with it.
I was on the bench for 6 months when I first started. Don't worry about it.
Thanks for the responses guys @pwc 3...I've been in touch with HR resources, my career coach and just setup a call for next week with my CP.
Short of that I've been trying to meet whoever I can, when if they're not in my work group.
I'm based out of the Houston office. You?
