We did the Clek- our son has been above the 99th percentile for height since he was born (2 now) and we wanted one that could keep him rear facing for as long as possible. It also is narrow enough that you can fit 3 across in the backseat - instead we keep our infant in the middle (safest spot) and toddler on the side
I’m pregnant and just got a clek infant. Glad to hear someone likes the brand in general!
We got the wire cutter recommendation (graco) Honestly the options are overwhelming
Besides one that fits your car, a shockingly useful feature is holders for the car seat straps so that you don’t have to dig for them every time. We have the nuna (it goes on sale during the Nordstrom anniversary sale), and we love that feature. However, it’s huge, so I barely fit between it and the infant car seat in the back of my SUV.

Love our diono, I should mention that i have an SUV and can’t fit in middle seat rear facing and on passenger side, front seat is basically unusable as it is pushed all the way forward. Baby will be forward facing soon and I rarely have anyone in passenger side so it works for me. Very easy to buckle in and adjust compared to our Graco

I just look at safety and rear facing. We have a Graco and a Diono. Both good and equally well-rated!

Which graco, extend2fit? Slimfit?
I have the maxi cosi pria and am very happy with it (especially as it was on sale). My favorite feature is little hooks to hold the straps while you load. Such a small thing but so frustrating when the straps get stuck below.
Lucies List was really helpful when I researched this. Gear guides on everything including car seats.
We have had the Britax Advocate for my kids. It’s pretty easy to install using either the LATCH or seatbelt methods.
I used Lucies List too and googled overall. I purchased my Graco 4ever All in One from Albee baby, has really good deals on most brands. It has really good ratings. My daughter transitioned out of the infant car seat around 14 months and she was rear facing in the Graco until maybe 2.5 when she started kicking. She’ll be 3 in June, she’s always been on the small side. We have a small SUV. I picked this one bc it’ll keep reducing in size as she keeps growing, eventually will just be booster seat.
