When presenting a counter to the desired company, what points should one take care of?
How to approach?
Should we first inform on call and then email?
How many days before joining date should we counter?

For those who lived in SF and/or NY before, do you have a preference? NY is great for finance opportunities but heard it's super cut throat. SF is great for tech opportunities and it seems more likely for females to find a relationship here compared to NY because more males than females here. Just by looking online, both places are comparable for rent and are small in apartment sizes. I applied to both finance companies and tech companies doing finance and can't decide what location is better

I’m thinking of moving from NY to SF at some point. Is it worth it?

What does everyone think of this... is replying all necessary ? I had a colleague reply all to complain about student evaluations that we had all agreed to complete. The colleague challenged the teachers who had completed the evaluation of a student and demanded that they check other students that had passed (since personally they thought some of those evaluations were questionable)... ALL because it wasn’t fair that this student was not passing.

Advice needed!! Have 8+ years of compliance/legal/in house experience (not privacy law except HIPAA). I really want a Privacy Counsel role so I took and passed the CIPP/US and CIPM exams this past year. I’ve been offered an Associate Director job at PwC. Is this a good stepping stone to a Privacy Counsel role? How long should I expect to work at PwC before I could apply to Privacy Counsel roles??

As a Data Scientist, I only considered PM as a post-MBA (about to join HSW this fall) career path. But I wonder if I’m limiting my options prematurely? Are there actually any other positions worth considering in tech or elsewhere where one could capitalize their tech background? Does anyone even care about this experience?

My profile is ~7 years in a few FAANGs and decacorns as a product analyst / data scientist / ml engineer. Worked with both engineers and business folks for a while.

Are there any MBA programs for professionals who have not completed an undergraduate degree?

720 GMAT, 3.7 GPA in accounting (small liberal arts school), CPA, 8 YOE with strong career growth. Entrepreneurial side projects that I’ve worked to get off the ground (pitched to investors, built MVP, incorporated and brought on devs with equity, etc). How long of a shot is GSB or HBS?

What’s the point of grades in an MBA

How bad of an idea is it to quit my job right now so I can apply round 1 this year, I have 150k saved up and haven’t taken the gmat, so I feel like it’s better to focus on the gmat and apps. My recommenders are fine with writing the recs, will it look bad to the adcoms though?

Are tech program management roles difficult to get post MBA? Particularly at FAANGs. Seems like Amazon hires a ton.

So R2 deadlines are almost upon us. Any other procrastinator out there just starting on their apps and still have to do a GMAT retake? Looking for solidarity here lol.
