The same happened to me. Do the following: 1. Don’t panic. It won’t help. 2. Schedule a test 3-4 days out so that you get a clear information. Quarantine yourself until the results. 3. Inform the people you got in touch with after meeting this person. 4. Plan a little on what you will need if you tested positive, specially your food arrangement if you are currently dependent on going out. 5. Inform your firm that you may need a break suddenly. 6. Find an amazing TV series and relax! If you do get a positive test result, it’s not the end of the world. Make sure you have a good support system who you can talk to. Isolation can make you spiral down in health with negative thoughts.

Hang in there, you will be fine if you don’t have pre conditions. Keep people around you safe and go for testing 3-5 days after getting exposed.

Zinc helps in building up the immune system but please isolate

Stay strong. Don’t panic. I have had several of my family members get it. For a normal healthy person it could be slight worse than a regular fever. Mentally be strong and make arrangements for food etc. Regular fever and pain medications will help. If you want to be really prepared notify your family doctor in advance.

Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.

Regrets post: what stock did you sell in the beginning of COVID and regret it now? Mine: Bought FTCH at $9.64 in Nov 2019 cause the company is amazing at what they do, sold at $10 in March 2020, cause the market was going down and I thought people would stop buying luxury clothing, today’s price: $54.76

Has anyone ever shit their pants at work or on the way to/from work? I’ll go first... Was on my way to my buddy’s place for post-work dranks when I got the sudden urge to poo. Stuck in rush hour traffic I started sweating. Fast food places were not allowing people inside (only drive thru during peak covid) so I drove around looking for bush to shit in. Found a house with no lights on and nice bushes out front and pulled over. (Cont’d in comments)

A big fear of mine lately has me feeling like a terrible human being. My brother in law had a small covid wedding last year, I was so excited to go but had to cancel last minute because I started miscarrying a few days before the wedding, at 5 weeks. I ended up watching the livestream, and miscarried during the wedding, alone at home (I urged my husband to go to the wedding and that I’d be fine, my parents were checking in on me). I haven’t been able to get preg since. (Contd in comments)

HR professionals- are you requiring a negative test before any employees return to work after COVID? Some had very mild symptoms and one was asymptomatic. I’ve read not to push for a Dr.’s note and some people can still be positive yet not contagious. Right now I’m following the cdc guidelines of 10 days from first symptom, fever free for 24 hrs and improvement of symptoms.
