2, no promotion. Is the end near?

With a 2, you are definitely at risk.

If you're a staff, yes. I heard EY is giving a bunch of its staff 2s and axing them

So EY ratings work in ascending order? 1 is the lowest.

At 2... Definitely yes.

@PwC 1 yes, 5 is best

Ey5 it's the opposite at PDubs. 5 is the lowest.

Nobody gets a 1, you're walked to the door before then. 2 means you will likely get a PIP or if not, you should ask for one, but it doesn't mean you'll be let go. I had a 2 on my team that after working with them was 4 rated the following year.

There's a lot of backstory to this but I can only type so much SO I've been with my company for 10.5 hours and just found out they've increased their base pay for starting employees $3-5/hr. I have received my annual 3-4% raises, only because I always make sure to ask for it, but nothing more. They didn't even acknowledge my 10 year anniversary with the company and it's a pretty small company (less than 100 employees). I feel I should get a $3-5/hr raise since the base pay was raised. Thoughts?

I left KPMG after 7 years after being passed over for Director promotion. I left to start a medical business. 3 months in, my partner and I grossed $130K in sales w/ a 60% margin. Consulting prepared us for this and I’m forever grateful for my experience. I’m honestly amazed at how well consulting skills translate to entrepreneurship. I’m sharing this to encourage anyone who’s been on the fence about starting their own thing. Go for it. Consulting will always be there if you need to fall back.

I have an EB-3 petition in progress. Waiting for my EAD/AP card, courtesy of being current for 2 glorious months. But the dates have now regressed, and EB-2 is moving forward faster. So trying to get an EB-2 application going. But Deloitte is refusing to do that unless I get promoted to SM. Currently an M. Any advice? Just stick with my EB-3 and wait for my SM promotion? Get a different job? Anything else I could consider?
