I accrued 11 vacation days from last year and I am going to take all 15 vacation days this year. And I will used all of them. I really do ‘t care how the company feels—this is my legal and contractual right.
What that makes no sense EY. You contradicted yourself, unless I’m crazy
They aren't going to take points away from you for not taking vacation, just don't think that the review committee is going to see you didn't take vacation and give you postive credit for it.
As a staff 1 I took 10 days of PTO in may when unassigned and it was not only OK to do but expected. They would actually rather you use your PTO than sit around unscheduled doing nothing. Don’t worry about it
They’re saying if your utilization is low in the month of may, they’ll consider the fact that you took PTO and it won’t be a big deal
If your utilization is low for no reason, it looks a lot worse than low utilization for taking your PTO
It’s not bad for the company but for you personally it’s dumb not to take vacation no matter where you work

Rephrasing the answer to help you understand, yes it impacts your utilization (@ey at least) but when they are planning your generic schedule for the year amd reviewing your performance they are taking that hit against your utilization into account as expected. It's not seen as a good thing to avoid taking your vacations.
Because at EY you lose it.

If your utilization is similar to ours, time-off has an adverse impact. But if your team is cool w/ it, do you boo boo!
Your PTO is something taken into consideration when rating you (as in it shouldn't count against you.) Scheduling it as far ahead as possible is a good idea.
Taken into consideration? And then you said it shouldn’t count against you? So it does count against me ?
