What advice would you offer someone trying to survive their final year as a PhD student?

Debating using an education consultant to read over my essays. I feel like I can do a good enough job for my target schools on my own but just have anxiety about the process generally. How did you all decide whether it was worth the investment?

Is there a point when MBA doesn't make financial sense? I'm 29 at $180k base with additional compensation typically around 15-25% over the last few years.

I like what I'm doing I think, but a top MBA had always been one of those personal goals of mine. Goal would be to maybe switch to MBB where I think compensation is slightly higher than what I'm getting right now at my level.

Does it make sense to do a 2 year program, probably be $200k in debt and miss out on $400k earnings :(?

Aiming to do GRE / GMAT for round 2. Seems like a GRE of at least 324 for m7 looks about like the ‘minimum’ for a checked off box. So does a 720 for GMAT. Suggestions on which to take ? (Obviously a 330+ GRE or a 750+ GMAT would be stellar, but meeting the average / median seems like a good start.)

What are the arguments for MBA vs EMBA? Seems to me that EMBA allows you to keep salary income so that is an obvious choice

Situation:
You’ve been accepted to an Ivy League 2 year premed program (Harvard, Columbia, UPenn) costing 20k per semester. Currently, you have no student debt, only went to state school for undergrad, and strongly dislike the work you’ve been pigeon-holed into at 2YOE (risk). You have also decided to prob not become a doctor although being interested in the sciences.
Would you still attend the program? Would it help with MBA/other program? Chances of successfully recruiting out if not for u?

Tanked my GMAT

Just got my score for the GMAT and it was way below what I got through the kaplan exams I did before taking the test.
I applied for the first round of admission that was closing on March 15th, will I be ok if I retake the test on March 27th or is it too late?

I am pursuing my MBA at one of the top 3 MBA colleges in Canada. As fall recruiting approaches, MBB jobs listings are popping up on the college's recruiting website. Unlike US schools, the Canadian business schools do release the grades to the companies. How strict are MBBs on filtering out the candidates on the basis of grades?

I have been trying to get OUT of the construction industry for years, but I can’t afford to pay living expenses if I were to go back to school. How do people go back to school later in life with no savings???

What’s the opinion about teaching at community college or as adjunct professor? I have my CPA license, but not masters. I’ve contemplated going back for a masters to be able to teach at the university level, but it seems like it doesn’t pay well these days.
