Why do we spend so much time prepping to interview for a career ladder (management consulting) where most people seem to already think about exit strategies only one or a couple of years into it?

Are IB bonus numbers as bad as I've been hearing this year? Heard middle bucket was ~30-40k most places and that that full range was $15-60k.

Deloitte USI declared that bonus for the year shall be paid on May 31st. If I put down papers on April 15th, my last working will be June 15th and will be on notice period on May 31st. So my question is - will get the bonus amount?

I got a bonus this year larger than I ever would have thought ($30k - I’m a Senior Accountant if that helps). And don’t know if that is normal to expect moving forward or if I just got lucky.

I am a Product Owner with 4+ YOE. I have been in my current role for 4 months and have continuously found that this role and company are not the right fit for me. Looking back on everything they said during the interview process it turns out that the culture, product and role are not aligning with anything we discussed. Interviewed for a company today. The remuneration package $120k-$180k/year [Base + % of Commission = OTE] (50/50 spilt).

They’re asking for an expected salary, if my expected salary is $100k/year, comes out to $8.3k/month.

Based on the $180k and paymix of 50/50, that means $90k is the base salary which is lower than my expected - is this correct? If so, what should I do?
