23 y/o, 75k salary, no expenses besides my student loans (40k at 4%). Looking to increase my 401k contribution from 6% as I believe the economy will continue to do well. I moved home to solely focus..

invest what you can over time. Don’t try and time the market and just keep contributing, increasing contributions if possible

Appreciate it

on paying of my student loans, but it’s tough to increase my contributions with the stock market doing this well. Annual gains of 30% last year vs. 4% on my loans. Obviously don’t wanna invest b/c of FOMO, but I just feel like I’m making the wrong decision of not investing more.

Depending how long you plan on staying at no expenses. I'm going to change to max 401k and then throw everything you can at the loans. I would target for student debt free in 1.5 years. That's 27k a year while throwing 19.5k into 401k. 47k should be easy for you.

you can make 2019 contributions to Roth IRA up until April 2020
