Hi All,

Need some career advice.

I have a year of experience in a clinical ops role where learning is quite stagnant. I’m eagerly looking to transition to good challenging opportunities in life science consulting/analytics and allied domains. Which organisations/startups/roles should one apply to being a non-technical applicant with a masters in biotechnology?

It would be really helpful to get your guidance on further course of action.

TIA!

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I’ve been in audit for almost two years, and am on track for senior promotion this summer. I’m really interested in accounting advisory services (FAAS, CMAAS, etc) and am thinking about applying at other firms soon.

Has anyone in similar shoes had luck with applying to senior level positions? Or should I be looking at the experienced associate level? I’d like to stay another year and get a busy season as a senior under my belt, but I also want to take advantage of this job market.

Hello All,
Hope you are doing well,
I have just started my career in project management and have 2 years of experience. And now I would like to enroll in a distance MBA course. So could anyone suggest me which MBA specialization should I choose that will help me in the career along with the PMP certification?

What should I do if I'm given last rating and have to undergo a PIP.. should I still continue or move out of the organisation

What are the best certification/training courses/conferences for someone in TA looking to gain more experience in HR? The goal is to gain more experience in the cross-overs areas between TA and HR; internal hiring, promotions, handling basically employee conflicts, Work Authorization, onboarding, basic employee law and benefits (as they relate to TA). Thank you!

Recently ( as of May 22nd, 2022) I was told my promotion was put in as a “request”.

After a brief discussion with the HR Director; I was told that said promotion could easily be put off until October…

There’s a seriously lack of role clarity; I’m consistently being tasked to do things that outside of my immediate skill set/job description.

Let me be clear; I have no problem with this, however when the pay doesn’t match…This leaves me feeling burned out most days.

Hi Fishes,

Key Skills:
1. Can handle large datasets (proficient in advanced Excel)
2. Problem structuring and solving skills
3. Communication & Presentation skills
4. People Management Skills

I know that getting an MBA is a better approach but that's not feasible for me atm.

Hi folks, my DOJ is on 9th Nov and I haven't accepted the offer yet as I am expecting offers from couple of companies more. I am getting the automated mails to start the pre joining process at least 7 days before. Can I accept the offer a day before joining and start with the pre going and BGV process as I'm bit worried, if I do it now and don't join then there might be any legal action.
