Live with your parents. I was in a similar situation at your age. I have zero regrets. Grant it, I spent weekends at my girlfriend’s place and was always hanging out with my friend’s at their place for social gatherings. As long as you have a good relationship with your parents and (offer to) help out with utilities and/or groceries, it is a win-win setup. One thing I always regretted when I did move out was how little I used my place because I was always working (late) or out of town for work; it felt like a total waste of money since I was basically paying to sleep at my place.

Thanks, Dave!

It depends on whether you are more like Person A or Person B: * Person A - looks back in 20 years and regrets the missed experiences * Person B - looks back in 20 years and regrets not having saved more You can always make money and you will learn to live with however much or however little you end up with. Some need more money to be “happy”, some need less. But you will never get lost time back.

I traveled nonstop for work for almost two years, probably having the equivalent of 2 months in my home city and the rest in different areas. I moved back home with my family and saved a load of money which I then proceeded to invest - I do have a good relationship with my parents though and helped out around with $$ as needed and other things when I was home, and that does make a huge difference. If you don't have a good relationship with your family, get your own place. If you have a good relationship, I think it's worth looking into living with your fam

Guess it depends on your parents. Are they the type that are going to try to control you, not let you bring others over, call obsessively if you’re out late, etc.? Or are they chill and going to treat you like an adult?

I would not spend that much to be gone that long. Are you dating? Partnered? Completely career and hobby-focused? Do you have a good relationship with your folks?

Parents. I’m doing this at 28 (after throwing away money renting in the Bay Area while traveling weekly). Savings are massive and I feel like it made a huge impact in my future financial security. Make a plan - like make it your goal to invest, save for property, save for school, etc.

Get your own place. But if you’re only there 50% of the time I’d go for a lower rent, personally.

Get out of your parents house..

A&M fishes do you feel pressure while taking vacations as your comp is tied to billable hours? Also what’s the policy on remote work, can people work from another country (eg. Canada or Europe ) for a few days if they are supporting during US work hours. Big 4 is strict about international work location, so just curious.
