I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

Grow up, OP, you’re a grown man 😂
Depends what a good time is for you... if you like the pretentious side of Dallas then Uptown is your spot. Deep Ellum is other side of spectrum
If you’re single, I’d probably start in Uptown area. Especially in you’re renting because if you don’t like it you’re not locked in that long. You might well decide to go Lower Greenville or Deep Ellum after that, but generally I think uptown is the closest to a walkable living area that Dallas has. Since I’m a bit older and have kids, East Dallas near WRL is perfect for me.
Addison is a cool area, or deep ellum; McKinney is fun on occasion but not an every weekend kinda place.
Living in Deep Ellum would be rough- the streets are narrow and constantly clogged. Recommend uptown / victory park and just ubering there when you want to
