I think it would help, depending on your longevity at the SEC. My big firm loves to take senior attorneys from agencies like the SEC.
What type of SEC job?
My firm recently hired someone from the SEC who left as a relative junior for a senior level position
It’s a “general attorney” position in their division of enforcement. 2 years experience required so it’s not a senior role. I’d hope to become trial counsel at some point.

Does the SK level bump up every year with the SEC? I guess put another way, how long would it take to reach the max compensation of 267k?
Where do you currently work as a Securities litigator?
You have an offer or interview? I’ve heard that it’s super hard to get hired by the SEC.
