Hi Folks, I submitted documents 2 weeks ago for BGV in Tech Mahindra. I have not got any response so far from HR. However, last week they scheduled another interview and dropped me email just before 15 mins, yet i joined the interview but no one joined from their end. Now, HR is not responding. What should I understand from this case? Am I rejected? Tech Mahindra Tata Consultancy
Anyone recently joined going to office?
Hey folks,
I have Decision Scientist offer from Fractal (15+2JB)
And Senior Analyst (Data Science) from Tiger Analytics (15.5+1JB)
Which shall be a better choice in terms of Data Science learning?
I suspect Decision Scientist shall be more towards consulting and less towards development.
Anybody has any inputs that can help?

Wow. A lot of misinformation going around on this post. MBA hires into S&O have 2 years to Manager. It's up or out. We do promote everyone who is ready - and we manage the business through other levers (exp hire recruiting, attrition, etc).
A1 yep, promotions are based on merit, we don't not promote good people because of that. Now they could be unstaffed and then get terminated bc of poor utilization but we don't just not promote.
Maybe after year 3 from what I heard. But sometimes it's affordability and not performance related, so I'm surprised people get laid off for this
I thought the 3rd year as an SC only happens in HC and Tech, not S&O. That said, I'm also a 2nd year S&O SC MBA grad and I think we get notified of promotions when we have year end discussion in June. Between the crapstorm this company was in our first year and the lack of transparency with the new performance system, I have no idea where I stand.
No
I mean the firm is doing fine now but they will fire people if they aren't going to make plan
Del2, can u elaborate on that? You mean if they have 40 SCs who are ready for promo they will actually promote all of them? They don't do any evaluation as to how many slots they can afford?
A MBA SC cost the firm more money and can only charge the client at the standard SC rate. So a non-MBA SC makes the firm a higher margin. 🤷♂️
D doesn't not promote because of affordability. And OP no you won't be asked to leave. There are plenty of 3rd and 4th year SCs who go on to make manager. You get asked to leave because of poor performance.
We were told we have two years to get promoted in our MBA employment contracts. Only non-MBA's can be 3rd year sc.
@D2 how does that work? You have $x in the bank, promoting everyone who deserves it costs $2x, do the partners then pay for additional promotions out of their bonuses/profits?
S&O MBA 2nd year SCs are required to be promoted to Manager, else they're asked to leave S&O - if you've a network and can make a case, you can move into TECH / DD / HC
D4 really?
D4 does it really state that in your offer letter? Non-MBA here, obviously.
