Tips for transitioning from big 4 (ITS) to big law as a JD? Heard getting an LLM is pretty much the only way but not sure if I wanna do that
Thoughts on Masters in Environmental Management programs? UCSB, Yale, etc. I have a non-technical degree (Bachelor of Arts) and have been in management consulting at a Big 4 the last 5 years. I want to pivot my career to do something more meaningful - make a positive impact in the world, rather than continuing to help rich corporations get richer. Thinking that doing a Masters will help arm myself with environmental / sustainability knowledge and a network.
Currently, nothing exciting about my job at Big 4 so, would like to give myself 4-6 months before I give a shot at FAANG+M, any suggestions on what key skills I should focus on and tips for interview prep? Open to learn any new skill (hard or soft) that can improve my chance at faang. All suggestions that help me plan and execute this journey are welcome.
Hi Imad! I recently started at B4, realizing after compliance busy season I’m more interested in audit. Internally transfer doesn’t seem guaranteed and will take at least 6+ months. (Cont.)
I have always wanted to work for the big 4. Found the idea of working with different clients, travel and the learning experience to be exiting . Not sure if this is just in my head and the grass looks greener on the other side . I currently work in program mgmt at Apple and wanted to understand if anyone has made the switch from faang to consulting? Is the pay and lifestyle rewarding. Should I experience this life before I get older ?PwC EY Deloitte KPMG
If you were going to be a partner in a national non-big 4 firm, which one would you pick and why?
I’ve always been so assured that B4 and partnership were ultimately what my career needed to be, but now the allure of staying in mgmt consulting is slowly becoming less attractive and that I need to start considering these bigger tech companies. Has anyone had similar realizations and finally made the move to FAANG with no regrets?
I’ve decided to make my career in the government side of consulting. Been doing it 10 years. Seems hard to find jobs where I manage people unless at a big 4. Anyone else find this true?
Is consulting a prestigious profession in Singapore or SEA more broadly? Are big 4 consulting firms respectable there, like in the UK or US?
What are thoughts on EY. They have called me and want to chat with me about taking over a service line in my city. I am at a top 10 firm now and is my second stop as a partner in PA. I don’t want to be constantly moving firms but opportunities keep coming up at larger and larger shops. No prior B4 experience so needing a little insight if it is worth it.
I started in tax under a year ago and don’t see myself here long term. Please make me aware of other job opportunities with 50-60 hours a week max that pay same (or better) than B4. I have an undergrad Finance degree as well.
Currently a first year big 4 audit associate who completed my first busy season a few months ago. Since starting I have had a pretty rough go of it and don’t think I am cut out for audit work or the life style. I thoroughly enjoy financial accounting and found it interesting in school, but loathe audit workpapers, anything related to controls, and the fact that it feels like a constant check the box exercise. I also can’t stand sitting in a conference room and CONT.
Anyone can recommend executive recruiter who can help me move to industry? I’m in B4 consulting ready to transition to industry.
What’s the rank hierarchy like in IBM? Where would an “Associate Partner” sit in comparison to a big 4 consulting firm? Got an offer I am evaluating
How much does firm prestige matter? Currently at lesser known firm with lower than B4 reputation.
Hi all, I'm currently working at Infosys as MSBI developer and looking for opportunity in any of Big 4. I noticed there is a job vacancy for the role I fit in PWC in Linkedin and here to check if anyone could help me with referral. TIA.

Trying to get an idea of some comparables here for Canada: Looking for : - billable hour targets, bonus structures, whether your firm has provided some form of COViD bonus /retention bonus, and lastly, if your firm will be increasing associate salaries in 2022! It would be great if the firm name was mentioned as well.
Does anyone have experience working in pharma for a period and still getting hired at a non-pharma agency after? Or is it true that once you go pharma you’re pigeon-holed forever?
I recently started writing blogs centered around supply chain trends - mainly for myself to grow in the space. But can I include this on my resume? Would it be a good idea to dedicate a small section for it under Professional Development?
1st year auditor here in west coast office. I’m book 60 hours this week however I only worked 48 hours. We’re still waiting on supporting docs and my senior tells me to log of early. Will this impact my performance and utilization?
