I do daily 30 minute workouts only bc I’m chained to my desk all day and barely have time for a walk (plus it’s cold). So that’s my only movement. I try to get in an hour workout at least once a weekend (boxing or orange theory).
One six hour workout every Saturday morning. All the muscles. And cardio. Optimal training strategy
It depends how are you’re willing to go in 30 minutes. If you’re willing to go all out for 30 minutes, nothing left, dripping in sweat - then do that. But if it’s the same intensity as your hour workouts - do that.
I might try somewhere in the middle - 2 hour long workouts and 3 30 minutes. get some intensity and some volume in there. ideal is hitting 4-6 days a week. very few people should hit 7, including professional athletes.
1-2 hour long workouts 3 days / week
Depends on your goals. Intensity, duration and frequency all places different types of stress on your body.
What do you want to do? Lose weight? Run faster? Run longer? Hold muscle? Get lean? Get healthy?
I try to do 30 min daily shoot for more like hours on the weekends. This is working out ok for me. I am 28 feel if I want to see physical changes - it’s about nutrition and cutting back in alcohol.
4 x 1 hour long workouts at medium to high intensity
30 minute daily low intensity walks/yoga/barre just to move
Daily. Easy.
