I have no idea why I found this so funny. I just spit frozen margarita all over my phone though.

OP - that makes sense. And I’d be inclined to respond probably the same way. Just maybe not asking to be friends. Something about it sounds so juvenile in that context. Maybe more like, “no matter what happens with the decision, I’d like to stay in touch with you.” On that note, you do sound very nice. I’ve had a tough 2 weeks. Can I reach out to you sometime?

@sapient we talked about how I was working to set up a strong work life balance by getting clients on board with no weekends or Monday meetings from the start. They had small kids and really responded positively to my philosophy. Nothing inappropriate happened in the interview. They were coming from a tough agency and loved the fresh air of respect, I suppose.

What happened in that interview that they thought it was cool to write you that? Seems sweet, but inappropriate and possibly boundary crossing.

I did the opposite: I was offered the job, but I turned it down. I reached out to them on LinkedIn to be friends, though. I liked them, but don't want the job. Didn't think there was anything wrong with that... oh well...

I will be graduating this Fall, currently interning for TI as a Product Marketing Engineer; I will most likely accept an offer for their Technical Sales Representative 9month rotation program. The pay seems great ($113k base&bonus + 115% - 250% Payout) after finishing the rotation program. I enjoy the Sales Engineer role and think TI is a great company.
