Which company would you join?
I currently work in Sales with the intention of moving over to marketing in the near future. I received two offers for BDR/SDR roles from Sprout Social and Gong. Both salaries are around the same (Gong - base 63k + anticipated $25k in commission, Sprout - 55k base + anticipated $25k in commission).
I like both companies’ software and it extremely hard to decide which position will get me into marketing faster as it is not a traditional BDR path to take.
Help!

I like getting a bonus.
I’m only going to give 85% of my effort for 2018
So the next time someone says “i should wait for my bonus before I start looking”...
I've never gotten a bonus ever. Settle the eff down.
In the current industry climate, totally happy to have a job AND a bonus while I keep making things
We had a great year, but holding company giveth, holding company taketh away
For those asking, basically we were told at the end of 2017 that 360i hit our financial goals and bonuses were being paid out. Honestly I can’t remember if the said it would be 100% of the pool or if it wasn’t specified. Yesterday we got a last minute meeting invite from HR for an all hands where the chairman told us we were getting 85% of the pool instead
And for those saying we’re lucky to even get them, yes that’s very fair in comparison to other agencies. But I’ve been here for a number of years and in the past we did usually get all/most of the pool. It is only in the past 1-2 years that bonuses have been reduced like this, or not paid at all. This coming in on the heels of them permanently getting rid of retro pay is generally damaging on morale and does undercut our trust in the execs’ words. I understand that it’s usually a holding company mandate but these are new trends compared to 360i’s history. Maybe this is just us becoming more like the rest of the agent world...
The bonus amount at DAN was a joke when I worked their a few years ago. But I was grateful I got something vs nothing. Especially since most other agencies never give out bonuses.
Was definitely not a great start to the week
Lol they changed our bonuses when I worked there... feel like they just swindled me out of money and this was in 2016
Wait there's bonuses now?
I mean it’s better then getting fired, since that’s the new creative department trend 🤷🏻♀️
What happened?
lol what’s a bonus
