36F. Don't want kids. Am constantly judged by other women about this decision. My SM in particular talks about how there must be something inherently wrong with women (not men mind you) who don't want kids. That child free women will never be as strong as mothers, etc. Makes me really want to knock her upside the head. That is all.

You do you, OP. Your worth as a person is not defined by child-rearing. People need to mind their own business.

So sorry OP. I’m with you - don’t want kids ever - and I think it’s mostly ignorant people who can’t see the glaringly obvious reasons a woman might not want to be a mother. My guess some regret becoming parents and are sour about it, but just remember that her judgement says more about her than about you.

Lolll she sounds so insecure. I feel sorry for people like that.

My client was served w/ an order of protection against her—her ex is abusive and is gearing up for a custody battle. Of course the OP was filled with outrageous lies. I posted here some months back about my ectopic pregnancies but today, I'm posting to tell you all to hang in there and God will do it for you. (Please don't insult me of you don't believe in God because I strongly do).
In a nut shell, we had baby #1 without trying. Started trying for #2 and over 2 years, I had 4 miscarriages and 2 ectopics. In July, my doc informed me that the only way forward was through IVF. I was tired and confused. I PRAYED! and continued trying. (The rest in the comments.)

How to keep mother and MIL apart? Wedding in 7 weeks, moms hate each other. Both sets of parents live close by.

Dreams of having them all get along in the future have been reduced to dust. Now just trying to make it through the wedding and keep them apart for the rest of my life. And pray they let me and my husband build our own lives.

I’ve been asked to weigh in on how to improve my firms parental leave policy. It’s currently 8 weeks paid for birth parent with an extra week for each year at the firm (up to 12 weeks total) and 2 weeks paid for non-birth parent. I’m in a major city, firm is a boutique that has been around a very long time. What would you suggest? Any studies or research you’ve seen recently on trends in parental leave policies also helpful. I’d like to have some sort of data to back up what I recommend. TIA!

Random question but do you let your kids hang out in your bedroom and use your master bath if applicable? My kids always seem to want to use our bathroom instead of theirs and my spouse doesn't care but I grew up with my parent's room basically being off limits and think I'd prefer it that way.

I’m a parent coordinator in NYC and I’m still in shock by the salary. How can anyone live off these wages? It’s so concerning not only because I’m living it but because so many Americans are. I hustle outside of work, doing side gigs to help me out. When does that leave room to better my education. I want children eventually. I feel so bad for other Parent Coordinators I’ve met with children not making it. It’s so sad. We also deserve a compensating salary. It doesn’t motivate me at all.

Of topic :- I have to relocate to Hyderabad any recommendation for hotel near Gachibowli hitech city area… i have to relocate with my wife and a year old kid

Wife told me the other day, after a 70 hour week, that it's easier to think of herself as a single parent. That way she's less angry at my job or firm. I hate that she feels that way. 3 yrs & 4 mths.

I’m in a rather peculiar situation. I have been in the HR field going on 4 years, I have over 11 years of management experience, I got my PHR last year and I recently graduated with my MBA with a concentration in HR this month. I am ready for a more challenging role. However, there doesn’t seem to be much available at my current company. However, I am going on 5 months pregnant with the expectation of being out in October. I feel like once I mentioned my pregnancy I was in a holding pattern.

What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!
