Need help from Amazon 🐠 Anyone interviewed for Amazon L5 BIE in GSF supply chain team? The JD said basic qualifications include data modeling, ETL, data warehousing and optimization. Any idea or experience how they will test these topics? Asking about related experience? Or show some data and ask how you will deal with that? Or like a case study, given a senario and ask how you think in order to tackle problem? Need advice/idea/experience urgently. Thanks in advance.Amazon @BIE

Any in-house counsel in here willing to post their company, level or YOE, and total comp breakdown? If you’re comfortable, please consider posting both your current stats and what your stats were when you first moved in-house. If there’s any other information that you want to share, please include that too (e.g., hours, interesting perks, etc.). Info on in-house salaries is pretty hard to come by, and it would be great to compile some data points here! Facebook Amazon Google Netflix Apple
I have a dear friend who was recent laid off from a tech company. I’m currently in my first in-house counsel position and was able to secure the job off of cold applying and don’t really have much advice to give. I really want to help support. I know about goinhouse.com and I know people say recruiters (I never found them helpful so wondering how). How did you find your gig? Sites? Been laid off and how to bounce back? Thanks!

What kind of law are you doing now and what do you want to do in house?
general commercial litigation with representation of banks at times. I’d like to do banking work or data privacy work. i had two interviews that i felt good about and researched for but they didn’t seem like definite yesses so i’m curious about whether i missed something
For data privacy, look at privacy counsel roles and study their requirements (and regurgitate in your resume/interviews). Or consider product counseling, which can be very privacy heavy if for, say, a tech company, 😄
I would say start with what THEY think the most important skills are. Read and re-read the job posting (I'm assuming it has a fairly good outline of what the duties are and what they're looking for). Then, sit down and go through each thing they list and think of a couple of experiences you have that demonstrate each one. How will your skills/experiences fill what they need?
Pragmatic approach and soft skills/EQ.
