Any USDC layoffs so far?
How many of you are asking about status and miles at Delta? 🤣🤣 This is one of the 3 bullets that came from Delta COVID email.
Recently laid off at a small gov contracting firm (non cyclical to this economy). My wife and I are expecting and thankfully live below our means. She has a great job too, thankfully…How should I maximize my severance and what should I ask for beyond cash? They offered 2 months of cash and my stock paid out. I was employed for 2 years. They at one point extended the potential of partnership and I’d like more, and they have the money. Should I ask for lump sum or spread it out?
Ever see a flight to a vaca destination across from your client and say fuck it and take it?...I did it today, may get fired but oh well
Visa inputs - I am going to IN to get visa stamping (and yes other reasons amidst covid travel). Have my drop box scheduled (extension within same company). Have folks experienced any delays with stamping, what’s the turnaround if you are called for interview? Any insights on prep will help. TIA
We pitched a client last year. They didn’t award us the business. It’s now a year later, they already fired the winner of that RFP & now their internal team literally just launched our exact concept!?
Anyone have covid and then develop an extremely sore throat a couple days into it? I can barely swallow, and Gatorade burns tremendously going down. I’m waiting for my drs. office to open so I can call, but was wondering if anyone had similar issues? Also, any tips to soothe a sore throat or at least make it a bit more bearable?
What have been the impact of COVID on EY US?
Any tips for buying a house while freelancing? I was planning on buying a house this year, but got laid off. Digging the freelance life, but heard it makes getting a mortgage difficult.
Does anyone know of any UK strategy opportunities at the moment, either in a consultancy or in-house? Made redundant because of COVID and struggling to find opportunities. Any help much appreciated!
Does anyone constantly worry about every tiny symptom they get being covid? My anxiety is through the roof.
Such low utilization at the firm I'm just over one calendar year now since start date. Is the bench at Deloitte for IM pretty big or am I the only one? About to get fired..
Does anyone work at capital one as a business analyst? What tips do you have for someone trying to break in? Would you be willing to get on the phone with me and provide some advice based on my background? I just got laid off and really would like to make the pivot
What’s the difference between lay off and getting fired? Neither because of misconduct or serious performance issues?
Just started in consulting 2 weeks ago don’t really know what’s going on , which way to turn or hoe to prepare myself. The people seek nice but haven’t step foot in the building to meet anyone in person due to covid so it’s hard to truly tell. Haven’t been on an engagement yet just lost
How do you make a new friends in 2022? Took a job in a small, quiet city. Blue New England area that's very COVID cautious. Most bars close before 11p. I like the firm, I like the work, but I cannot see myself staying long term in an area where I don't have friends and everyone seems scared of interacting with people they don't know. I'm not even talking about dating (though that'd be nice), I'm just talking about not spending all my off time drinking alone in my apartment.
I should have posted in this bowl... but Coronavirus is forcing me to freelance for the first time in 2 years. I have 5-6 years UX experience, is 40 hourly a reasonable rate? Should I negotiate...
Thoughts on Riveron? My SO is interviewing there but heard they did a substantial furlough/layoff earlier this year. Seems like things might be better since they just announced a new acquisition in the past week?
A girl I use to bang in college is now a BCG recruiter, should I contact her for a bang and referral? Or vice versa
No amount of money is ever enough - is that the truth? I’m taking a risk of forgoing my $200k salary + ~$50k stock options to join an early startup. Their base salary offer was i) $185k + equity 0.12% OR ii) $195k + equity 0.08%. I chose the former. But with the inflation, maybe I should have chosen the latter so I can hold some more cash. I know the difference is not a lot but I’m nervous about my decision. Should I stay? Or ask to revert and switch to a higher base? (I already signed :/)
What is the average salary for a Clinical R&D Manager at PWC for an applicant who has a PhD in a scientific discipline?
How much money do you have left over after you pay all of your expenses and tax? After taxes and rent, healthcare, 401k, and food, I have about 12-14k left over at the end of the year. Is this low? Should I be saving more?
From your experience what do you think my older self would be telling me know while I’m in this situation fyi just under 30 no kids - should I either stay in my dead end job that owns decent money and good benefits, and wlb is good and I can do my fun activities but really not growing, learning or interested in it at all. Or try find another career path that I could be interested and can learn grow but may give up WLB?
Just heard the female consultant on my project tell the manager you like my Santa Claus. Should I be concerned? Someone help translate this for me.

Hi there- I am considering pursuing a certification in HR analytics or data analysis and visualization to enhance my data storytelling skills as an HR Business Partner. I have no prior data analytics experience aside from what I’ve learned on the job evaluating employee data (ie exit and engagement surveys) and making recommendations based on past experience. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations on leveraging this type of certificate in your role?
Considering an internal move from recruiting to HRBP. Has anyone done this? If so, why and how has your experience been so far?
CSR People: are points best used purchasing tickets through chase or is it a better deal to transfer it to another airline?
BCG folks - can someone help me understand the Knowledge Expert (KE) track? I got approached for a Manager role. Is this an internal role or part of the consulting group? Is pay different than a PL?
I have joined PwC AC in Advisory practice in Dec (Around 45days back) . I've not got the project yet and still on bench. I connected with deployer and Coach 2-3 times, they said they are in process of allocating. What should I do now? Is it something to worry about? How my performance will be evaluated and appraisal will be affected? Will I miss bonus (Variable pay which was verbally promised by HR)? Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks in advance
I am starting a new role with a new company and will have 6 direct reports. Although I have managed teams before in a consulting project setting, this will be the first time in industry. Any recommendations on how to sharpen my management skills (books, blogs, etc). Particularly looking at how to delegate effectively and practical examples on how to run day to day.

I am sincerely asking for advice, not criticism. I have been w/ my boyfriend for 2 years, & I love him dearly. I have a history of being in toxic relationships. My friends call me a chaos addict. I grew up in poverty, and I’m the only one in my family who didn’t battle addiction. I was also a victim of sexual, physical, verbal, & emotional abuse from a step parent I love my bf more than anything, & I do not want to break up, but I keep fantasizing about cheating on him (Cont. in comments)

Anyone need a solid ACD/CW with a ton of digital and shopper experience? Got laid off, along with a ton of other talented folks. jaimegscreative.com
Genuine question: why do people bill over 2100 in this market? I can see how wanting to be a “good associate” could get you to agree to go slightly above your hours requirement, but don’t understand how people end up billing 2500+ hours… do you really think you’d get fired if you said no to more work? Is someone legitimately forcing you to work that much? Don’t see how extra bonuses are worth it either.
