3rd year V20 and don’t really have any one partner I’m close with at the firm. I’ve worked for many different people but wouldn’t say I repeatedly work with the same partners (and regardless there is usually a senior associate I report to more than the partner). People know me, but my no means are we “close”. This feels like a major flaw of large practice groups in BigLaw (Corporate), where juniors remain largely anonymous. Tips to fix this / improve relations (especially during remote working)?

What do people think about the WfH allowance? Is it enough?

Has anyone heard of Corona cases within the industry? Nervous that WFH policies were implemented too late.

Is ZS paying the one time work from home allowance for setting up workspace for new employees. If yes how much?? Also does ZS give a phone for Associate Consultant??

I just had the most awkward call with a manager. It was not how I wanted it to go, we just bs-ed about WFH etc for half of it. I could not figure out how to transition is to the questions I had. And then I awkwardly asked them to connect me to people in their highly-coveted practice area and they kinda brushed me off. I thought we had a strong relationship. People are so good at having a facade. I don’t even mean this in a negative way. I’m impressed (and sad)

just sounds like it will give the AE a raise. And easier all around to be transparent. Much worse things could happen. AE could have been let go and unemployed.
