Has your school/district polled parents about what they want to do? If so, what was the response?
Has anyone heard of Corona cases within the industry? Nervous that WFH policies were implemented too late.
Is ZS paying the one time work from home allowance for setting up workspace for new employees. If yes how much?? Also does ZS give a phone for Associate Consultant??
I just had the most awkward call with a manager. It was not how I wanted it to go, we just bs-ed about WFH etc for half of it. I could not figure out how to transition is to the questions I had. And then I awkwardly asked them to connect me to people in their highly-coveted practice area and they kinda brushed me off. I thought we had a strong relationship. People are so good at having a facade. I don’t even mean this in a negative way. I’m impressed (and sad)
Everyone's happy that it's the 4th while I'm just happy my SM let me work remote since it's a short week. #NoTravel
Has anyone stayed in Federal consulting outside of the DC area? Fully remote? Just Curious if it is possible.
I feel like consulting is super dull since WFH. All the fun part of the job is gone. And the camaraderie as well. Feeling down because of that😔 I used to love my job but it’s though to like it now
Parents with kids who have ADHD, how are you keeping your kids occupied? I'm wfh with my stepson at home and distance learning is not enough. He's 11 and has only lived with my husband and me (cont'd)
Worked 15 hours a day so far this week but tomorrow is work from home and Friday I'm off. Cheers to the (almost) freakin weekend!
Ladies, if you’re WFH, have you started storing your work wardrobe? Debating if it’s time to take my clothes off the hanger and put them in Sterilite bins
I have five weeks before I switch firms and I currently work remote, so I can travel and work. Where would you go within the US? Or is there anything else I should do? (Also ttc so no Zika)
We all know you’re asking to bid my female director so you can tell your client you did your #FreeTheBid duty, but I’d rather spend my day getting her a real job so I’d rather not pretend to bid w/you
During this pandemic, I’m the only person that is required to go into the office. Is it wrong to say it’s a bit unfair? I carry the responsibility of interacting with our staff, handling any issue that comes up. Boss is only available via email...
I was planning on updating my portfolio during the break but I’m feeling very “meh” about the work that I created in 2020. I did a launch this year and most of the pieces don’t seem portfolio worthy. What kind of work should I be putting in so that a CD would consider hiring me?
Has anyone used 401k for home down payment? How does that work? I’m seeing a few options, can take out a loan from 401k with low interest rate that I’d be paying myself, withdraw under hardship...
What yearly salary increase can be expected working on the commercial team at a big pharma? How does it change from a non-promotion to a promotion year?
Have an offer from another company at 22% But heard from CC, SM, MD that I’m being considered for mid year promotion. Should I stall other offer? If so, when are mid-year promos usually announced?
Deloitte Moms, I just found out I’m pregnant with my first! Super excited! I have a question about the firm maternity leave policy. Per my knowledge, our maternity leave is 4 months. However, I’ve seen coworkers who went on leave for up to 6 months. How do they manage to do that? Also, based on your experience, when’s the optimal time to tell employer/ coworkers about your pregnancy?
Relatively new to the firm and curious about other people's experience in being brought on to a project...mine has been less than ideal so just curious...
Any fish in Geneva can provide info about salary, COL, and lifestyle? Currently in a process for data protection and information security in a company there and need more info.
Do you find your flexibility is exploited now that travel is banned and you're working from home? Specifically tech consulting I.e.. > 50-60+ Hours a week >10+ hour days > Regular weekly nights/weekend/on-call
just sounds like it will give the AE a raise. And easier all around to be transparent. Much worse things could happen. AE could have been let go and unemployed.
For those that have been job searching prior to Covid how difficult is the current hiring climate vs. the one prior to Covid?
What's the best all-in-one credit card for traveling consultants that pay for their own expenses? I want to maximize rewards (whether it be cash back, points, miles etc.).
What did you have to go through to get your current role and how did you prepare for it ? Almost every interview now has an excel case, multiple rounds, different types of testing ?
