Lots of us are skilled at delivery but most sales books seem to focus on the pitch and closing... What are your best resources for learning to develop and nurture strong, lasting client relationships?
About to take an offer at EY. Want a baby soon and saw the great news about increased parental leave. Question is, can u use vacation time consecutively with it? Right now most on leave take 5 months
Folks, I just got promoted and joined this group. How should I approach selling consulting services? I am delivering services and not had much success farming given the client environment. How can I start hunting? Any steps or tried-out resources I can leverage? Help out a fella trying to do his job better 🙏
Doing some benchmarking as we revisit our leave policy. Do any of your firms offer external career coaching for transitioning into / then back from parental leave? Any organizations you’d recommend or things you’ve found to be particularly helpful / successful? Thank you!
My little step sister is 9 and is very clearly and openly the less favored child between her and her brother. I feel terrible for the environment she has to grow up in. I opened an UTMA account for her and am contributing what I can to help her out. Is there anything else I can do to ensure she has the financial freedom she needs to get out of her situation as soon as she hits 18?
You are getting rolled off next week and u know it today !! Not your fault just client.. 💩💩💩💩 so next week onwards hunt begins!
Help! My toddler doesn’t want to eat anything but cheese and fruit and peanut butter. We have been trying the “you provide, they decide” thing but her decision is to not eat. She’s always been small and doctor said we need to get her weight up. Any ideas or recipes? Getting desperate!
Anyone have info on MBB/Strategy& supply chain consulting? Group size, actively hiring, common backgrounds (MBA/certifications required/helpful?), project types, & interview prep tips? Looking to enter as an experienced hire. Currently a procurement financial analyst and just passed my CSCP certification. Ex-big4. Thanks!
I'm 25 weeks pregnant and have been looking for work for the past month and half after getting laid off. I've had several interviews, but so far nothing has panned out. Baby is due mid-September. Is it too late at this point? Should I just stop looking and wait until after the baby is born? This has been such a stressful time.
I currently make 60LPA in Hyderabad and my firm has an offer for 150k in Chicago. Is it worth? I am generally happy with the package in India and have good savings as I own my house in Hyderabad and I am not a lavish spender. I have been onsite in US previously with an allowance but I did not go crazy over the so called American experience. Single earner with one kid.
This dilly dilly thing is gonna run for a long time. How many months can they wring out of it? http://www.thedrum.com/creative-works/project/wieden-kennedy-new-york-bud-light-ye-olde-pep-talk
Went in for a scan yesterday because I was having spotting and cramping at 12 weeks. The OB saw fluid behind the baby’s neck and is referring us to see a high risk doctor immediately. NIPT was negative. I’m panicking. Have any of you been through this?
Deloitte SAP is knocking. I’m tempted to finally discuss. The recruiter is internal. I’m functional. M3 will be M at Deloitte? What are M project roles in SAP at Deloitte ?
Has anyone used the multi week option? Does that mean you can stay back at the client site each week instead of flying back home? How long can this be Done? Or has anyone booked long term apartments
As a staff on the consulting side, does anyone else find it awkward to join a zoom call with the client before the manager/sm joins in?
Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
Hello Fishes, I have two job offers in hand. Need for suggestion on which one is better to join considering work culture and other benefits. Offers are from SAP SDC and EY GDS with same salary benefits. Skillset- SAP EWM YOE- 12 Years
I think it’s time to consider demolishing and rebuilding LAX. When it takes 30 minutes to get to the drop off curb on a Sunday morning, start over

Just wondering if anyone can share comp insights for PWC - Associate and EY - Supply Chain Consultant. I have initial interviews coming up and don’t want to price myself out early in the process. Both are new grad roles in Canada HCOL city. I have 7 YOE in industry, no consulting experience.
Anyone in BOS?! 25 F!!
Anyone know the TC of mba entry level of Big Tech PM roles (e.g. Amazon) and how comp progresses? Internet suggests high 100s which seem kind of low. Need this to model out the roi of an mba thanks a lot!
Hi fellow EA fish 🐟🐠🐡 I’m hoping to make comp comparisons between MBB and the Big 4 since Glassdoor and other websites aren’t that accurate. Please feel free to DM!
I went on the worst date of my life today.. #milestone why is it so hard to date in ATL?
Is getting CFE worth it? I’ve failed the 3 different sections of the CPA and I am giving up. But I would like some kind of certification to look a tad more marketable. Thoughts?
My partner from prior firm. He mentored me from Consultant-level. Gave me fast promotions. I executed and brought him $. He didn't let me make Senior Mgr at age 28. I switched firms. 40% salary hike.
How do you think a swap from MBB to big4 strategy would be viewed? Currently in a flagship office of an MBB and there is basically no strategy. There are 9 miserable cost outs / transformations / PMOs for every 1 borderline strategy case. The staffing lottery in my region means you almost always end up working 75 hours+ on some god forsaken project. Contrast that to what I hear about big 4 strategy: lower hours and more strategy exposure as the crappy projects go to the other MC departments
Who wants to work in Risk Advisory in ATL, Bham, or Nashville at a firm where you can be your authentic self, and actually have a work/life balance? DHG is looking for good people. Growing 25-35%/yr
Comp question - what should a B4 Senior with a CPA, CFF, CFE, and a MBA with 4 years forensic exp (D&T) and 6+ years non-forensic exp (industry) in NYC and DC markets expect in this current climate?
A partner said on a client call that we really miss an associate I’m filling in for and that the team should be up to speed when she gets back. I can’t help feeling a bit slighted by that. I get that she’s much more senior (I’m a 1st year who started a couple of months ago) but I don’t think I’ve done a bad job at all. My first brief was spot on arguments wise and didn’t have much redlines. Am I reading too much into it? Should I check in with him to ask if he’s unhappy with my work?
