The person I’m seeing has been responding to my texts days later (only a recent development) and it’s making me anxious. Does anyone have advice for getting my dog anxiety medicine? We have tried lots of OTC stuff and many professional trainers and they all mention that we need to talk to our vet about anxiety medicine. however, our vet refuses to prescribe it without us going through a behaviorist. The problem is the only behaviorist in our area is $700/session (minimum 2 sessions) and the wait is 5 months. Should I try a new vet or has anyone had luck with a virtual diagnosis?

My dog was diagnosed with cancer today. He went through extensive medical tests in September and he was fine and now the cancer has reached his lungs and come too far for us to doing anything about it. He is my first child I can’t handle this pain. He will have 6-8 weeks at best.
