It has pros and cons. On the one hand, it’s hard to find time to spend together. On the other, you really understand each other’s lives in a deeper way and have more to connect about; it’s easier to be understanding during the rough times.

All of this. Another pro is having a firehose of money pointed at you. Protip: Outsource everything you can. It helps with the time aspect.

It worked really well for us for a long time. But then the conflicting travel schedules became a problem with our small kids and no family nearby. My husband ultimately took a job outside of BigLaw with no travel (but less flexibility during the workday).
