What’s general turnaround time from final candidate interview to decision / offer? Friend I referred for a SD role has gone through the process (2 Partner interviews, 1 SD interview) with the last interview occurring about two weeks ago. She hasn’t heard anything from HR and HR hasn’t responded to her emails asking on status. Not sure if that’s par for the course or an indication she got dinged.

I wanted to post this for those who see and those who need to see: I, along with you, feel dejected by my current position. But I went to an absolutely no name school and could not find a job out of college for 5-6 months. Randomly got an interview request from PwC for a position I never applied for through LinkedIn. All this to say, everyones path is different and yours will work out how it should. Everything happens for a reason, assuming you always put your best foot forward. May we succeed.

I have an awesome opportunity to apply for a promotion that would give me additional responsibilities but a faster track to leadership. I am also 10 weeks pregnant with my first confirmation appt next week. I want to go for it but feel bad about applying when I would go on mat leave in about 6-7 months, pending everything is on track with my first appt. Wanting advice on whether to apply or not and whether to disclose the pregnancy?

I took the bar July 2021 and had a screening interview with Fragomen about 2 weeks ago. They seemed interested and open to interviewing as a contract to hire attorney. Any tips for someone who discounts good feedback but heavily focuses on the opportunities to improve? So much that I have a fear of getting fired despite receiving overall good feedback. I started a new job earlier this year. The function of the role and industry is new to me. My manager told me he generally has higher expectations than the rest of the organization. Originally, I viewed this as a great learning opportunity but can't help to think I'm not cut out for this and fear the worst.

Booked a flight in March with chase points that I cancelled bc if covid (~75k pnts). United told me I needed to re book in a year. I called to see if they could extend, they gave me a voucher for ~$1k that lasts for 2 years. Just got a notification from chase that my flight was cancelled and they refunded all the points. I now see the voucher and the redeemed points on the apps. Did I get lucky and get to keep both or is chase/United going to realize when I try to redeem one or the other?

I’m mentally breaking down because I have been doing a job of a scheduler, PM, notetaker, regulatory submissions, and thus have no room for growth to work on strategy. I’m an AS and I am so sick of having to remind everyone because no one looks at my notes, recaps, and no one remembers anything from any meeting. Recently because I’m so exhausted I started making more “mistakes” like not catching a mistake on a submission. Is this because I suck or is it time for me to move off? I feel terrible.
