I’m noticing something & I wonder if anyone else experiencing same. Companies aren’t willing to negotiate. This is my experience, sequentially over a 2 year period. Company 1, no budge on base, yes to sign on bonus. Company 2, no budge on base, yes to sign on. Company 3, no budge on base, yes to sign on. Company 4, no budge on base or bonus. What happened to “1st offer isn’t the best”?
I am negotiating pay now - last year 200k, this year on track to make 230k. Being in a silo for 6 years - what should I be making? Top rep. Series C was 80m. 40 sales reps total. We are paid on real revenue and it takes a year to be paid fully on a deal. My goal has always been a moving target and I’m negotiations to change that or I start messaging back the recruiters all over my linked in. I love the industry and the product is decent or I would’ve left a long time ago.

A top performing Enterprise rep at a large company would be making hundreds of thousands more, you need to add this latest success to your resume, and get to hunting for your next opportunity. Heck, an average SMB rep can make what you make.
How much revenue do you bring in annually?
In my industry, I’m closing deals as big as they get consistently. I have no doubt I can duplicate my success in a different industry.
