6th September is my joining date in EY GDS. I have received the New Hire email with Orientation WebEx links already. I have kept Mindtree offer as a backup. Shall I inform Mindtree that I am not joining today? Or I shall wait till 5th September? I heard that you should alway keep an backup offer till your date of joining for safety? Please kindly share your opinions.

So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? You can inform Mindtree since you have already decided EY, no need to worry about backup EY is good and trust your skills. In worst case suppose things do not go well at EY you can still reach out Mindtree again Give proper reason and they will easily reconsider and share updated Offer Letter
I feel that’s a bit selective nature.
If you have decided you join EY than inform Mindtree or if have decided the same for Mindtree inform EY.
Why to keep any company on hold they might offer someone else who is the pipeline

Later we have seen a lot incidents of offer rescinded. Or people on DoJ got email that they are extending the date of joining. I had 6 offers. I have email them 1 month back. But because of this reason I kept 2 offers (EY and Mindtree). One offer for back up for such incidents.
Dont join EY
