7.5*5.5 cm fibroid, grew 3.5* 2.5 from last year! Doc suggests going on Lupron to try shrinking fibroid or Myomectomy eventually. Also suggested to consult IVF specialist. 27Y - anyone else had a similar experience? Good recs for gynaecologist/ oncologists in NYC?

I’m honestly curious why the following happens: someone asks a question about covid restrictions/health issues/ etc and half of the responses are “this shouldn’t even be a question”. Today I saw a post about safe countries to travel to and general covid restrictions and half the responses were judgmental and rude. “No one should be traveling now- idk why you’re even asking this question.” “Asking this question means you’re part of the problem” what is UP w this level of judgment?????

I've been passed up for promotion. I know that if my mental health had been better this past year, I probably would have been promoted. Spent too many days just trying to survive rather than excel. 😡

Does peloton only work on your lower body? I like running and going for walks etc and am conflicted between getting a peloton vs joining a gym. Cause I live in NYC I walk quite a bit and my lower body is pretty toned but would love to have more definition/strength in my arms, stomach. Thinking of getting a peloton will be pointless for my arms/upper body since that’s what I’d like to focus on. Advice?

What do I do? I called in sick on Monday because of a flu that turned out to be COVID. I am a manager in the logistics department, where I shouldn't come into the office to avoid risking anyone's health. However, I've been away for 3 days now and my superior is calling me in to work, even if I'm not totally healed. Considering I work alongside the drivers and they have to meet our clients, I wouldn't want to be the patient zero in the office.

My confession is that I have seen the medical field change so much over the past 20 years, that it's unrecognizable in both good and bad ways. More people are leaving than staying, and I am worried the quality of care is dwindling. I try not to burden friends and family with some of the things I've seen recently, but the short version is that I'm no longer sure I have faith or trust in it myself.

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.

Saw a friend today who is an IVF veteran and asked her advice going into my first retrieval: “the goal is to stay married.” It hit hard. This has already been so difficult on our marriage and I’m not even on stims yet. I came home and immediately searched therapists. Any other truth bombs this weekend?

Sharing my story: I carry an abnormal gene in which me and my wife's first child was affected. We decided with our second child to use IVF. We started our journey in January 2021 and my wife went through 4 IVF cycles using my sperm in a 9 month span (her choice). We decided after the 4th round failed to go a different route and use sperm donation to rid us of the gene. During 2022, she went through 4 rounds of IUI and finally got one that stuck. She is now 14 weeks pregnant and due in April 😊

Received PGT results today and am thrilled we do have normal embryos! So over the moon, I know we have a journey to go but celebrating this milestone! Sending all the positive wishes to all of you as well!

Hi, I’m 30yrs old and by next week I will be 31yrs old. Got married 2 yrs ago and we have been trying for kids from past 7 months but no luck, we try to have sex almost all 7 days of fertile window. I’m in utter shock still. TTC 3 years

Starting an IVF cycle shortly; and feeling very anxious. My period, which is usually within 25-28 days hasn’t started yet. It is 14 days late (and no, I am not pregnant :). My doctor had me patching 4 estrogen patches everyday for 10 days.
Has anyone else gone through this? Delayed period because of IVF stress? Or delayed period because of estrogen patches?
I don’t know what to make of all of this. Any help/ guidance would be great!

Feeling a bit down after a negative pregnancy test today - we’ve officially passed the six month mark of TTC. I’m 33, progesterone, prolactin, and thyroid all look normal but my cycles suck. They will regularly stretch into the 40 - 50 day range but OB seems really unconcerned. I keep getting the “it’s totally normal to take this long” 😕 I’m scared we’ll waste a year just to find out there is a problem.

Another "we are having a baby" day from friends. I used to get very excited for everyones babies but I think its taking a huge toll on me now. Instead of being happy for them I cried.
