Hello Slalom Canada folks, Anyone willing to chat about Slalom's company culture and its niche/specialty here in Canada?
I have two offers: 1. a strategy and ops role at a late stage startup, pre ipo (think databricks, Stripe) 2. a data science role at a bank. Comp is roughly the same at 270k TC. I’m much more interested in data science long term, but have FOMO about missing out on pre ipo shares. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone. It's a bit awkward for me to say this but I'm looking for copywriting intern/ jr copywriter/freelance roles. If anyone knows of a place please let me know. Thank you.
Any recommendations for MBA admissions consultants? Getting sticker shock looking at the prices…
Does anyone have any insight working for Appian (Pay, WLB, Benefits)? Specifically the Technology Strategy Analyst role? Looking for strategy roles outside of consulting.
Pregnant with my second and my oldest will be 23 months when baby 2 arrives. What do I need to get with a second (second monitor, double stroller, what else?) TIA!
Hey guys- I have an intern buddy who was assigned to me and they’re just down the block from me. They want to meet up and I feel awful because they came to the city to intern and they don’t know anyone. It is not policy to meet up rn but if I was to just meet the person in a park for a coffee is that not a good move?
What’s your comfort level in being inside: open windows/doors with maybe 10 people in a biggish space considering Covid and being nyc based?
What’s the best approach in leaving your current firm to avoid hella backlash? Currently staffed on a large project where SM and client is dependent on me for many things for the implementation. Ramp up time to hire someone new and train would be roughly 4 months. Strong chance they’ll counteroffer but I’m set on leaving. Am I overthinking it?
I just started my job a month ago. It was my 2nd choice role at this company. I didn't realize the chaos I was walking into, and while it's not toxic (yet), I had hopes of more work life balance and an actual "belonging to a team" feel. I basically skipped onboarding and jumped right into working, boss skipped a huge working session I "led" but had no clue how to lead and I was put on the spot. Applying to a dream job but if I don't get it might keep browsing. Is leaving worth the consequences?
Does anyone know of where to find remote part time work opportunities for older Indian women? My mom was a part-time after school teacher but has not been doing that due to covid (dad is high risk). I’m having her do some online typing lessons to get her to be a faster typer, maybe find her a data entry gig. She does not want to do nanny’ing / babysitting. She’s a great teacher though and she’s trilingual (Telugu, hindi) - anyone know of where to find opportunities?

If your H1B transfer is filed before your grace period ends, but you don’t start the new job until a few weeks after grace period ends - does that count as out of status? Has anyone been in this situation?
Would you take a pay cut and dip in title to go in-house? I feel done with agency life and got an offer to go in-house at a well-known brand. The catch is that it’s about a 10% pay cut and I’d be going from a Director to Manager. And honestly, if I take this offer to my agency I know they’ll automatically bump my title to VP and give me a pay raise. I’m on track for that to happen in Dec. but I’m at the point I’m just worn out but not sure if this is a wise decision in the long run.
I am interested in getting my SHRM-CP certification this year and I was wondering which study methods and materials worked best for those of you who passed the exam. Also, what are your roles in HR?!
what is LEK's return to office plan? any WFH work possible? or 5 days a week in the sweatshop
That look when I receive an email about a new Teams Channel where I find an update instructing me to sign up for team updates via Yammer and training via Zoom.
