Hi, I have an offer for the position of Senior Associate at pwc AC Bangalore. Can you please tell if there is a permanent wfh and will they give it in writing. And how is the WLB at PWC AC Bangalore. Is it true that I will have to frequently work late at night. Is the shift timings 9 to 6 as the hr told me or it usually extends? Pwc AC PwC

Thanks for the support all! We heard the heartbeat yesterday. I’m excited and overwhelmed and nervous about balancing work with this great news...but overall just really really grateful. Thanks for all the support!
Let your team know you are feeling ill, and ask them to help out when possible. Take care of the “must haves”, and do the “nice to haves” on days you are feeling better. Try to work from home as much as possible so you can puke in privacy. Congratulations! And good luck 😊
If at all possible take PTO. Tell people you’re down with the flu! Anything to get you to that 8 week appt
Just threw up while on a call that I was leading. Lots of mute button action.
Sea bands also helped me with my nausea- they are cheap so worth a try? https://m.cvs.com/shop/sea-band-wristband-one-size-assorted-colors-prodid-109278?skuId=109278
Yes lots of mute!!! Will never forget with my first putting myself on mute to throw up mid presentation and then when people started asking if I dropped I pulled the “oh sorry I didn’t realize was talking on mute” routine. And maybe a little more productive, vitamin b6 did take the edge off for me some days. Congrats!!
BCG1: you can probably get a better answer by asking your office or the BCG bowl. Broad strokes are that there are 60 & 80% options. They are designed for P/PLs and for working 3 or 4 days a week instead of 5. However, I have heard of exceptions on both tenure and structure for health related reasons -- though that might vary by office.
If you trust one of the partners on the team, tell him/her. I can’t tell you the number of babies of whom I was aware and never spoke (but covered meetings, decks, etc). Congrats and good luck!
Definitely take it easy! Take some PTO or if you have the option work remotely for a bit. The first trimester can be a tough on your body but take it from someone who got past it just a few months ago- life gets significantly better in the second tri. Good luck!
You can go to OB/GYN and ask them for medication like diclegis, zofran, etc. if it is serious nausea and the ginger and sea bands aren't cutting it.
and if you are P/PL you can ask HR about FlexTime and see if a case is willing to work with you on doing it X hours a day instead of X days a week. This one will work better if you do full disclosure to HR and relevant leadership though.
B3- can you share more about flextime? I’m a C but curious about what options there are...
Told my team the day after we heard the heartbeat at 7 weeks! I was puking so needed them to know why I was so sick. They were fantastic. Can't imagine trying to get through the first trimester secretively. Good luck!! (And ask doctor for meds - they made my nausea and vomiting go away.)
Really may be worth playing the flu card for a week to get you through the appointment. In my experience it was like a switch flipped at 10 weeks and all symptoms (nausea, restless sleep, constipation, etc) turned off and are still completely gone in week 19. I hope it’s the same for you. Congrats!!
I’d get a private scan to confirm all is well and get nausea meds and then tell HR
I’m 5 weeks with my first child and not telling anyone yet. Traveling every week until March 16. Praying I get through this project!! We can do it!!
Just found out this past weekend (at about 5 weeks). No major symptoms yet aside from being exhausted. If things get bad in the next week or so will likely tell the P, but not partner (I’m a PL). Congrats!!
