Found out this week an old friend is now having a kid. This person is a good human but for a variety of reasons, they aren’t so great when it comes to anything romantic with the opposite sex (myself, mutual friends, etc). They managed to get pregnant with someone lives across the country from their old neighborhood. Instead of being happy for them, I hate that the only thing I can think is this will always come to mind taking safe sex precautions knowing that it was definitely unplanned.

While I went to grad school & did well in my career, they don't aspire for much & are very content working 9-5 manually intensive jobs. Married woman with a 2 year old kid and found out last week that my husband has been cheating on me for the last 1 year with a coworker who lives in the same apartment complex. Feel like a fool as we all meet socially (she is married too, without kids) and we have had them over at our place so many times (part of our Covid bubble).
