Trying to transition from hands-on analytics freelance into advising. What service or field would be best to focus on as an advisor to companies within data?

Hi everyone, how hard is to transition from PM to VC/PE? Do you have some suggestions, and what are the pros and cons you see from such a change? I have 2 years PM experience, and 1 in strategic consulting (MBB). As a PM I have been involved in many commercial Due Diligences for products we acquired, and I enjoyed them quite a lot. Thanks!

South FL - Palm Beach County. Is anyone seing an explosion of available inventory? I’ve been receiving a ton of emails from Redfin/Zillow since labor day.

I went to 8 open houses in my area (all vacant, nicely staged with insane prices) for 2 weekends. 6 of the 8 listing have price cuts (today). Potential buyer traffic was minimal. 2 Weekends do not make a trend and RE agents stressed critical period is Nov-Feb.

When I was little, I used to lie in bed looking at the ceiling and I would get this overwhelming feeling that the future was meaningless. How does everyone feel about the huge conflict of interest between market maker and hedge fund? Does anyone know what a market maker is or what they specifically do in our markets? Anyone ever realize that a market maker can also be a hedge fund? Or am I the only idiot messing with options... completely u aware the person selling me the option contracts has total@control over stock price and legally allowed to manipulate it... bc they take on “risk”.

Looks like the markets had forgotten about inflation after one good month. If it wasn't for gas prices dropping this would have been on par with Feb-June.

Happy new year and hoping all of us find something like PTGEF this year.

My earnings watch for today: UBER, DDOG, Z, NET, HLF, FSLR, YELP, GRPO, GRPN, RST.

Don't have positions in anything other than calls on UBER. Everything else confuses me/leaves me undecided but curious to see if anyone else is playing these/thesis?
